F300B/250D/F225F are 4-stroke outboard motors that provide high performance in packages designed to be the lightest outboards in the 225 to 300hp classes. These models achieve class-leading performance, lightness and compactness. Various Yamaha Motor technologies were incorporated to give good fuel economy, convenience, and environmental friendliness.
These are the first outboards in the world to feature sleeveless cylinders employ plasma fusion technology. This produces cylinders that are lighter, more heat-resistant, abrasion-resistant and recyclable.
These outboards utilize Yamaha's unique weight-saving technologies in various places including the plasma-fused sleeveless cylinders and plastic bottom cowling, producing a class-leading V6 displacement of 4.2 liters while being the lightest in the V6 class.
The newly developed DOHC power unit has a 4,169cm3 displacement and a 60° V-6 cylinder format and 24 valves. It pumps out exceptional power and speed performance with outstanding fuel economy, plus the famous Yamaha reliability.
The ECM (Engine Control Module) constantly controls fuel injection volume, injection timing and ignition timing to improve combustion efficiency in all types of use conditions.
The electric system utilizes the highest 70-ampere alternator in its class, a handy feature which can help power today’s wide array of onboard electronic devices.
Yamaha's exclusive new smooth shift dampener system greatly reduces noise commonly associated with shifting gears. It will be available with renewed Saltwater Series II propellers.
The digital gauge offers a lot of information to the operator to help provide effective and easy operation. The LCD screen can display speed, rpm, trim, cooling water temperature and pressure, oil pressure, fuel flow, battery voltage, shift position, clock, engine synchronization, warning, diagnosis and so on.
