Factories

Yamaha outboards are produced today at five factories in Japan, France and Brazil. At each of these factories there is an ongoing quest to develop and refine production processes that build reliability into each and every product with manufacturing perfection. We control the whole process, from materials and machining, heat treatment, painting and assembly through to quality control. At our newest Fukuroi South Factory in Japan, we have introduced new technologies to further boost quality. These include the change to robots on the paint line and a modular production system. Innovations such as the use of natural light and a water recycling system enable us to achieve more environment-friendly manufacturing.
