After our short rest in Semarang, the JUPITER MX (T135) touring plan is to push on in one continuous journey through Java and Sumatra to our goal in Medang, which will be the end of the tour's Indonesian leg. A ceremony to start the resumption of our journey was held at the venue of a YAMAHA CUP race.
The YAMAHA CUP is a series of races for Yamaha customers here in Indonesia that is held on closed-course tracks. Usually these are local races, but this time it was the season final for teams representing the different regions of Indonesia to race together to determine the national champions. The winning teams here will represent Indonesia in next month's ASEAN CUP Races.
Our JUPITER MX (T135) touring team participated in the event's opening ceremony here to publicize the JUPITER MX (T135) and our PAN-ASEAN TOURING "IT'S EXCITING!" event. At this ceremony was also held a ceremony to dedicate the Yamaha GREEN PROJECT tree-planting activity and announce the planting of some 50,000 sengon trees each at two sites in Kendal and Bandung.
After the opening ceremony, the tour riders set out for today's goal at Cirebon. Touring along the coast highway facing the Java Sea, we passed through the towns of Pekalongan and Tegal. Having started out from Semarang at 11:00, the JUPITER MX (T135) tour arrived in Cirebon at 17:00. The 240 km we traveled today was the longest single-day distance of the tour so far. And, despite the tough conditions, everyone was able to ride safely for the complete distance.
YAMAHA CUP and GREEN PROJECT Ceremony
The YAMAHA CUP race series is very popular here in Indonesia. Each team tunes their mopeds differently for the races
