Features of the technology
The T135 adopts Yamaha's air induction system that cleans the exhaust by re-burning (oxidizing) any unburned fuel in the exhaust pipe. The exhaust that has been cleaned once in this way is then cleaned once again in the muffler by a catalytic converter function. Adopting multi-tube muffler format to increase the exposure surface, the catalytic elements of platinum, rhodium and palladium that coat the tube walls serve to oxidize toxic content in the exhaust through catalysis. In the process CO is converted to CO2, HC to H2O and CO2 and NOx is converted to N2, H2O and CO2. The result is environment friendly exhaust that clears emission standards for HC, CO and NOx.
